Success stories
First RTP Installation
Technical Summary
Imantt, a leader in energy solutions, achieved a milestone with its Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe (RTP) technology in Huila, Colombia. This project marks a significant advancement in hydrocarbon transportation, showcasing Imantt’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Execution
Project Description:
Located in Yaguara, Huila, Imantt installed a 1.2-kilometer RTP system connecting a water injection line to an owner’s location. Operating at 1,600 PSI and up to 55°C, the pipeline ensures robust performance in harsh conditions, using advanced composites for durability.
Technical and operational evaluation:
Since its deployment more than 15 years ago, RTP pipe has demonstrated exceptional strength, withstanding wear, corrosion and operational stresses. Its flexible design and composite materials ensure reliability, exceeding industry standards for longevity and efficiency.
Rehabilitation of steel pipeline for RTP
Project
In 2012, IMANTT led a pioneering project in Orito, Putumayo’s oil industry. The mission: to supply and install Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe (RTP) flexible pipeline from well Orito to Battery 1.
Execution
During project implementation, we tackled complex technical challenges, such as installing over an existing bridge using a sliplining method with a 6-inch metal protection pipe for the RTP pipeline. Our technical team adeptly applied their expertise to overcome these operational complexities.
Results
The project concluded successfully, spanning a total length of 2,1 kilometer from well Orito to Battery 1. The implementation of the RTP flexible pipeline not only met industry standards but also proved to be an optimal and reliable technical solution for the demanding fluid transportation requirements in the oil and gas sector.
68K lake Maracaibo (VEN)
Project
Extensive Implementation of Flexible RTP Production Lines by Imantt in Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela
Execution
Imantt successfully completed a large-scale project in Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela, installing an extensive system of Flexible Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe (RTP) production lines covering a total distance of 68 kilometers. This project required the installation of pipelines of varying diameters, including 3″, 4″, and 6″, to meet diverse operational needs.
The execution phase involved complex technical activities, ranging from civil and mechanical works to subaqueous, aerial, and challenging terrain installations. With a meticulous approach at every stage, the Imantt team demonstrated their expertise and ability to overcome technical challenges, ensuring successful implementation.
This success story exemplifies IMANTT’s commitment to excellence in executing large-scale infrastructure projects. Through its professional and technical approach, IMANTT met project requirements and delivered quality results that meet the industry’s highest standards.
